Zamfara College of Education Confirms Letter Of Threat From Bandits

Dr. Umar Bello, the provost of the Federal College of Education Technical, Gusau, has confirmed the receipt of an alleged letter of threat from bandits, noting that the college’s management has taken steps to protect the lives of both staff and students.

The threat letter, according to the Provost, is no longer a secret because it has been circulated, and that when the letter became viral on social media, the college administration contacted security agencies and the military for immediate involvement.

The provost revealed that the college had enlisted the help of local vigilantes to supplement the college’s current security infrastructure.

Dr. Umar went on to say that the college had enlisted the help of Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps agents prior to the threat, in order to create a well-coordinated security network within the college.

He praised the state’s security chiefs for their prompt response and for keeping an eye on the campus area.
