OOU Students Storm Ogun Government House To Protest Against Abduction Of Colleague

Students from Olabisi Onabanjo University in Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, stormed the Government House in Abeokuta to protest the kidnapping of Samson Ajasa, a student.

The protest was headed by Awoyemi Oluwabunmi Michael, President of the Students’ Union Government, and students were observed carrying various banners with various slogans.

The students, on the other hand, were allegedly attacked by hoodlums.

The SUG President confirmed the attack to SaharaReporters, but said he couldn’t disclose whether any students were detained.

Adeyemi Azeez, the Special Assistant to the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, was accused of directing scores of cultists to attack the state Chairman of the National Association of Nigeria Students, Ajasa, according to NEWS DIRECT on Thursday.

According to a source, Adeyemi and his group also kidnapped Ajasa, an OOU student.

The governor’s aide was alleged to be furious at the chairman.

“Early this morning, the SA on Students Matters to Ogun State Governor, Adeyemi Azeez led scores of cultists to attack the students’ leader, Ajasa. They carted away his car after he was brutalised and kidnapped by the cultists led by Adeyemi Azeez,” a friend of the students’ leader had told SaharaReporters.

Meanwhile, calls put across to the governor’s aide were not picked nor returned.
