JUST IN: Former Keystone Bank MD, Atuche Sentenced To Six Years’ Imprisonment For N25.7bn Fraud

Francis Atuche, a former Managing Director of the defunct Bank PHB (now Keystone Bank), was sentenced to six years in prison by an Ikeja High Court for defrauding the bank of N25.7 billion.

Justice Lateefa Okunnu also sentenced Ugo Anyanwu, the bank’s former Chief Financial Officer, to four years in prison in a 10-hour decision.

The judge ruled that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had shown the defendants’ guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

Okunnu, on the other hand, released Atuche’s wife Elizabeth, who was on trial with the couple.
