Ex-Gombe PDP lawmaker defects to NNPP

Sani Dugge, a former Gombe State House of Assembly delegate, has joined the opposition New Nigerian Peoples Party after leaving the Peoples Democratic Party.

Dugge, who served as the state Assembly representative for Dukku South, announced his defection in a letter to the Waziri South PDP Chairman dated December 25, 2022.

“I like to advise you of the withdrawal of my membership (No. 3528) from the party effective from today, December 25, 2022,” he said.

Dugge told our correspondent that he had defected and that he had chosen to join the NNPP on a personal level.

The NNPP now has the same number of Assembly members as the PDP thanks to the recent joining of three state legislators.
