Ex-Aviation Minister, Fani-Kayode Reacts As Former Bodyguard Becomes New OPC Leader

Femi Fani-Kayode, the former Minister of Aviation, has responded to the emergence of a new leader for the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC).

The leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) congratulated Otunba Wasiu Afolabi on his election as the OPC’s new leader.

According to NEWS DIRECT, Fani-Kayode revealed this in a post on his Twitter account on Monday.

According to the former minister, the current OPC chief was a part of his security team during President Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration in 2005.

Fani-Kayode wrote: “I congratulate Otunba Wasiu Afolabi on his emergence as leader of the OPC. Wasiu is a strong, focused, forthright & courageous man who I have known for 20 years.

“He was one of Dr. Fasheun’s most trusted lieutenants & in 2005 he was a member of my security team. I wish him well.”
