Confusion As Bandits Reportedly Kill Colleague During Attack In Zamfara

During an attack in Zamfara State, some highly armed bandits are said to have killed one of their own.

On Saturday, gunmen attacked Gama Giwa, a hamlet in the state’s Maradun Local Government Area, and began firing indiscriminately.

According to reports, gunmen riding motorcycles drove locals into the jungle with firearms, shooting at a member of their gang in the process.

The same group of bandits had invaded Gama Giwa on Thursday before the recent attack, according to an eyewitness who spoke to the Daily Post about the incident. However, no one was killed or kidnapped.

He informed the reporters that they spent many hours preparing for any possible encounter before leaving the area at midnight and returning the next morning.

“The bandits stormed the village on motorcycles and many people started to run to the bushes as they sighted the bandits,” he added.

“The bandits fired a shot at one of their members, who eventually died on the spot.”
