BREAKING: Terrorists Attack Community In Buhari’s Home State, Kill Residents, Abduct Many Others

Gunmen suspected of being bandits killed at least two people in Mai Bakko village, Sabuwa Local Government Area, Katsina State.

Residents informed SaharaReporters that the terrorists, known locally as bandits, raided the community Tuesday morning as people were getting ready for prayer and stayed for several hours.

“The attackers started firing indiscriminately, resulting in the death of the victims,” it was learned when they arrived in the area on motorcycles.

The gunmen also kidnapped an undetermined number of others.

Despite being President Muhammadu Buhari’s home state, Katsina has seen intermittent attacks by bandits and kidnappers that have taken many lives.

In the last five months, gunmen are said to have killed around 700 individuals in the state’s Jibia, Kankara, Dutsinma, Musawa, Danmusa, and Safana local government areas.

On December 11, 2020, 344 pupils from Kankara’s Government Science Secondary School were abducted by bandits. A week later, they were released.

On the same day, 84 Islamiyya students from Hizburrahim Islamiyya in Mahuta village, Dandume Local Government Area, were kidnapped but later rescued.
