Bandits, Boko Haram Not More Powerful Than DSS, Military, Govt Supporting Them – Adeyanju Claims

Deji Adeyanju, a well-known Nigerian rights campaigner, has claimed that the federal government is exacerbating the country’s security problems.

According to Adeyanju, the federal government is aiding and abetting bandits, killer herders, and Boko Haram in their illegal actions.

These criminals were not more powerful than Nigerian security agencies, according to the rights campaigner, but official support has kept them afloat.

In a tweet, Adeyanju wrote: “Bandits, killer herdsmen and Boko Haram are not more powerful than our military, DSS, Police, DIA, NIA, etc; they are just getting Govt support and help.”

In the northern portion of the country, bandits have been kidnapping and killing individuals.

Bandits have wreaked havoc on states including as Zamfara, Kaduna, Niger, Sokoto, Kebbi, and Katsina.

Recently, gunmen suspected of being bandits stormed the Nigerian Defence Academy, killing several officers and kidnapping two Majors.

In other regions of the country, murderous herdsmen have been attacking farms and looting communities while bandits ravage the north.
