“Afenifere A Disappointment For Demandimg State Police From Buhari” – Omokri

Reno Omokri, a former presidential adviser, has responded to President Muhammadu Buhari’s recent appeal from Afenifere, a Yoruba socio-political organization, regarding security challenges in the country.

According to reports, Afenifere, a Yoruba socio-political organization, has urged the Federal Government to put an end to terrorism, abduction, banditry, and the Nigerian farmer-herder conflict.

State policing, according to Afenifere, can prevent these issues.

This was one of the resolutions made by Afenifere during a meeting in Ogun State on Tuesday, which was presided over by the body’s head, Ayo Adebanjo.

The organisation advised Nigerians to protect themselves against bandits in a communiqué published at the end of the meeting and signed by Afenifere’s spokesman, Jare Ajayi.

Omokri expressed his disappointment in a tweet on his Twitter account on Wednesday, saying it’s a tremendous embarrassment for Afenifere to be making such a request to the President.

He went on to say that Kano created hisbah without consulting anyone, and that if Buhari couldn’t stop that, he has no right to block state police.

“I am so disappointed with Afenifere for asking for state police from Buhari.

“Who gave Kano Hisbah? Did Kano ask anyone for Hisbah? They just created it. Stop asking Buhari for state police. Create it.

“If that lousy fellow has not stopped Hisbah, he can’t stop you!” He wrote.
