We Want To See Abba Kyari Paraded Like Criminal — Reno Omokri To NDLEA, EFCC, Police
Former presidential aide Reno Omokri has urged Nigerian law enforcement authorities, particularly the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, and the Police, to ensure that beleaguered DCP Abba Kyari is paraded as a criminal.
Abba Kyari, who was previously indicted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for ties to a popular internet fraudster, Hushpuppi, was detained and taken into jail by the NDLEA on Monday for alleged ties to an international drugs gang, according to NEWS DIRECT.
Reno expressed disappointment that the NDLEA had failed to parade Kyari, a former commander of the IGP Response Team in Imo State, after one week in detention, and accused the agencies of treating some suspects differently.
Omokri, a staunch critic of President Muhammadu Buhari, said Nigerians seek an update on Kyari in a post on his official Facebook page.
He said, “Almost a week after Abba Kyari was exposed as a drug baron, he has not been paraded by NDLEA, EFCC, or the Police. Meanwhile, the NDLEA immediately paraded a young boy caught with marijuana.
“Marijuana! You have someone involved in importing billions worth of hard drugs, and it is the marijuana teenager that you are arresting? If we test General Buhari’s urine, do you know what substances we will find?
“Even in crime, Nigeria still applies the quota system to favour certain people! A freedom fighter, Nnamdi Kanu, was paraded like a common criminal on the same day he was illegally kidnapped from Kenya and brought to Nigeria. Where is Abba Kyari? Let us see him paraded like the criminal he is!”.
