A man has been stopped when he made an attempt to commit suicide.
The shocking incident took place at the Lekki Phase 1, Link Bridge in Lagos State. The yet-to-be identified man went to the bridge where he attempted to hang himself. He made the attempt during the busy period of the day when people were all around the area.
Several people including motorists and bystanders quickly intervened and stopped the man from hanging himself. A video clip on social media showed the man struggling with some good people who were doing their best to save his life.
The scary scene led to a gridlock along the major road. While it is still unknown why the man decided to end his life, onlookers blame the prevalent difficult economic situation. More details on the incident will be made known later.
