War: Ukraine Ready To Accept Two Conditions As Part Of Peace Deal — Zelensky

In the midst of their continuous war, Ukraine is willing to accept security guarantees and a neutral non-nuclear status as part of a peace deal with Russia.

According to CNN, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed this in an interview with Russian independent media on Sunday.

“Security guarantees and the neutral, non-nuclear status of our State, we are ready to accept this. This is the most important point,” Zelensky said.

“This was the first point of principle for the Russian Federation, as I recall. And as far as I remember, they started the war because of this.”

“So, this clause is a security guarantee clause for Ukraine. And since they say it is for them [security guarantees] as well, it is understandable to me, and it is being discussed. It is in-depth, but I am interested in making sure it is not just another piece of paper.

“So we are interested in having that paper turned into a serious treaty to be signed,” he added.

Russia and Ukraine have been at odds since last month.

Due to political tensions between the two countries, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine.

However, there have been a number of casualties since then.
