Unknown Gunmen Raid ASUU Chairman’s House In Zamfara, Kidnap Six

Mr Abdurrahman Adamu, Chairman of the Federal University of Gusau branch of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, was attacked at his home by unidentified gunmen.

The event, which occurred on Wednesday morning, resulted in the kidnapping of at least six people, including Adamu’s neighbor, according to the DAILY POST.

The gunmen who stormed the chairman’s home in Damba Quarters, on the outskirts of Gusau, the Zamfara State capital, shot randomly before abducting the victims to an unknown location.

According to the ASUU leader, who confirmed the story to Channels Television, his younger brother, a niece, a nephew, and the younger sisters of his two wife were all kidnapped.

He confirmed that his relatives had been taken, but added that the kidnappers had met no opposition. He went on to say that the cops came to his house this morning, asked a few questions, and then left.

When the assailants raided the flat on Tuesday night, it was reported that the ASUU Chairman did not sleep in his home.

As of press time, DAILY POST had been unable to contact Muhammed Shehu, the Zamfara State Police Public Relations Officer, for comment.
