Teaching Prosperity Made Them Call Me Devil, Some Wanted Me Dead — Bishop Oyedepo

Bishop David Oyedepo of Living Faith Church explains why some Nigerians once referred to him as a devil and wished for his death.

For preaching prosperity, Oyedepo revealed that he was called a devil.

On Sunday, he told his congregation at the church’s headquarters in Ota, Ogun State, about this while preaching on the theme “Blood of Sprinkling Service.”

Nigerians were enraged, according to Oyedepo, because he preached wealth rather than misery.

However, he claims that some of his assailants are now success preachers.

A God-ordained leader, according to the preacher, sees things before others.

“I was a devil teaching prosperity,” Oyedepo claims. “People were grieved, and they wished I died.” Everyone, including the main assailants, is now writing about wealth. Every God-ordained leader is a pacesetter, and true leaders look ahead of others.”

In Nigeria, pain was formerly regarded as a blessing, according to the clergyman.

Bishop Oyedepo is regarded as one of Africa’s and the world’s wealthiest pastors.

His church owns universities, and he also owns a fleet of private jets.
