Another Oyo Monarch, Oloko Of Oko Is Dead

Oba Gabriel Adepoju, another king from Oyo state, has joined his forefathers.

On Sunday, the monarch, who was the Oloko of Oko Ile till his death, joined the ancestors.

Oko Ile is one of the towns in the state’s Oriire Local Government Area, according to NEWS DIRECT.

At the age of 85, the king passed away in the early hours of Sunday, according to our source.

It was gathered that the monarch gained the throne in 1997.

The death of Oba Adepoju comes after the deaths of three other famous monarchs in the state, according to the NEWS DIRECT.

In the previous six weeks, three important monarchs in Oyo state have died, according to our correspondent.

Oba Jimoh Oyewumi, the Soun of Ogbomoso, died on December 12, 2021, at the age of 95.

Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, the Olubadan of Ibadan land, died on January 2nd, 2022, at the age of 93.
