Soyinka Visits Sunday Igboho In Benin Republic

Wole Soyinka, a Nobel Laureate, paid a visit to Sunday Adeyemo, better known as Sunday Igboho, a Yoruba Nation campaigner, on Sunday.

The visit was verified in a statement by Soyinka’s media office, which included a photo of Igboho alongside Nobel laureate and leader of the Yoruba self-determination group, Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, Banji Akintoye.

As at the time of filing this report, no details on the meeting could be found.

Soyinka’s visit comes just weeks after Igboho was released in Benin Republic.

Remember that the Department of State Services (DSS) designated Igboho wanted after the agency allegedly discovered weapons at his home.

After fleeing his homeland, he was apprehended by Interpol at a Benin airport on July 19, 2021, while boarding a flight to Germany.
