Police Rescue 14 Kidnapped Victims In Kano

Within two months, the Kano State Police Command successfully freed fourteen kidnapped victims abducted in various operations.

This was said in a statement signed by the command’s spokesperson, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, and made available to journalists on Monday.

According to him, the victims were retrieved in various missions.

He explained that the victims were kidnapped by the Hoodlums in various operations across the state.

According to the statement, “On the 03/08/2021 at about 0700 hours, on the instruction of the Commissioner of Police, to sustained security patrol and rescued the remaining five victims of kidnapping captured on 02/08/2021, team of Policemen at Falgore Forest ”

“Also On the 02/08/2021 at about 2110hours, a report was received that unknown armed men along Kano – Jos road by Falgore forest, Doguwa LGA, Kano State, open fire and stopped Opel Vectra motor, dark green in color and kidnapped the eight occupants into the forest”

“A team of Policemen attached to Anti-Kidnapping Squad also engage the hoodlums and rescue the victims.”

“On the 01/08/2021 another victim was rescued from their captivity and also arrested the culprits”

He said the command had already United the victims with their families.”

Kiyawa said during the period eight suspected kidnappers were also arrested in different operations.

He said Kano State Police commissioner CP. Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko has ordered for the case to be transferred to the Command’s Criminal Investigation department for discreet investigation.

He said the suspects have been charged to court.
