Four accused kidnappers led Rivers State Police Command officers to a shallow cemetery where one of their victims was buried after he was kidnapped.
The victim, a pastor from Rivers State, was kidnapped by the suspects in May 2021.
He was allegedly executed ten days after being kidnapped and buried in a small grave in the Lourre hamlet of Khana local government area of the state.
Nnamdi Omoni, the state police command’s spokesman, told journalists that the “suspect also collected the sum of N5000,000” from the victim’s family. Omoni also said that the suspects who confessed to the crime were apprehended through intelligence gathering.
One of the suspects claims that the preacher they hired after posing as a passenger was slain when he recognized one of them.
