Police Arrest 40-year-old Bandits’ Informat In Katsina

 

In the state of Katsina, a 40-year-old man suspected of being a bandit’s informant was captured in the Faskari Local Government Area (LGA). 

This was revealed by Gambo Isah, a spokeswoman for the command, during a press conference in Katsina on Friday. 

“On August 12, a 40-year-old man from Godiya village in Faskari LGA was overheard on the phone talking to a prominent bandit commander, Ado Buji, and was accused by the community of being a bandit informant.

According to Mr Isah, in the course of the police carrying out their investigation, “the suspect confessed to the crime and stated that some time ago he was given N800,000 to buy essential needs for the bandits in their camp.”

The command spokesperson further said that “The suspect also stated that another 35-year-old man, a resident of Ruwan Godiya village, in Faskari LGA was the one who introduced him to the bandits’ leader, Buji. He was later traced and arrested.

“He also confessed to running an errand for the bandits as well as collecting N200,000 from Buji, the bandits’ leader, ” Mr Isah said.
