NCDC Records More COVID-19 Deaths, Over 444 New Cases In 20 States, FCT

The Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 444 coronavirus cases throughout 20 states and the Federal Capital Territory of Abuja.

On Saturday morning, the NCDC announced on its verified Facebook page that seven patients had died as a result of the virus’s complications.

Edo State had the most cases with 71, followed by Akwa-Ibom with 49, Kwara and Oyo with 49 each, and Kaduna with 21.

Ekiti (20), FCT (19), Anambra (17), Delta (16), Kano (16), Bauchi (14), Ogun (11), Bayelsa (9), Benue (9), Cross River (7), Nasarawa (5), Jigawa (2), Zamfara (2), and Enugu (1) were the states with the most people.

Since the onset in 2020, Nigeria has registered 194,088 cases of the disease.

On Friday, 433 patients were treated, recovered, and discharged from isolation centers around the country, according to the Public Health Agency, while 2,494 people died.
