Nigerians React As Buhari Threatens To Kill Igbo Youths

Nigerians have taken to social media to express their anger over President Buhari’s threat to clamp down those terrorizing Nigeria most especially South-East.

NEWS DIRECT earlier reported that Buhari on Tuesday, stated that he will deal with youths who want to destroy his government in a language they will understand.

Buhari, speaking while getting a briefing from Mahmood Yakubu, Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on the recent attacks on the commission’s facilities in the South-East, said those behind the attacks want to tarnish his government’s image.

Below are some reactions on Twitter gathered by NEWS DIRECT reporter.

@uchesam4 wrote: “Shame on you @MBuhari …. Just a day after we mourn those who died in the 1967 genocide you’re threatening another genocide on same people but you’re quick to go intervene in Mali crises peacefully just as you and your aids are preaching peace talks for bandits and Boko haram.”

@falzthebahdguy wrote: “What is this? Have you treated Boko Haram with the “language they understand”? What about the kidnappers & bandits ? Today you go London, tomorrow Paris. You are now coming here to tweet rubbish”

@opebanwo wrote: “I give up. How can a sane president post this? Why deliberately provoke a people already feeling marginalized? You can address the issue of violence in Igboland without gaslighting them? #BuhariMustGo”

@Govshina wrote: “Dear @jack this Tweet violates @Twitter rules and principles. This President threatened a Genocide against over 30 million IGBOs living in Nigeria. Please suspend this account immediately.”
