Journalist Who Covered Looting Of Palliatives In Lagos Found Dead After Arrest

A young journalist, Onifade Pelumi has reportedly been found dead in Lagos state while covering events happening at palliative storage centre in Lagos.

He died after allegedly being arrested by Lagos State Task Force officials.

The management of Gboah TV said their staff was arrested by the Lagos State Task Force at the Ministry of Agriculture, Abbattoir. It was further gathered that the Police are currently investigating the matter and have assured the management, the family and community that the investigation will be thorough and swift.

The management of TV station wrote;

It has been confirmed that the Gboah TV staff ‘Onifade Pelumi’, arrested by the Lagos State Task Force at the Ministry of Agriculture, Abbattoir, Agege is dead!

The Police are currently investigating the matter and have assured the management, the family and community that the investigation will be thorough and swift.

Onifade Pelumi died while covering the scenes at the site of the palliative storage center.

He will be deeply missed!

Further details will be released upon completion of the Investigation by Police Force.

  1. They arrested him which was confirmed but when was he released? That was not confirmed, and so those that arrested him should tell the truth to the world.
