In Ondo, Two Suspect Gang Rape A 13-year-old Girl

A suspect has been detained by men from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Ondo State Command, for colluding with a buddy to gang-rape a 13-year-old in Ondo State.

Oluwadare Olawale and Suraju, the culprits, were accused of luring and abducting their victim to a private apartment, where they took turns rapping her.

The two suspects committed the crime in Ikare-Akoko, the headquarters of Ondo State’s Akoko North East Local Government Area, according to the state’s NSCDC spokesperson, DSC Olufemi Omole.

With Suraju said to be on the run, Omole, said the arrest of Olawale was made possible by the command’s Anti-human Trafficking, Illegal, Migration and Gender-Based Unit.

“Although Suraju is currently at large, our intelligence personnel are on his trail; Oluwadare Olawale, however, confessed to the crime blaming the occurrence on the devil.”

While lamenting the increasing cases of rape among youths, the State Commandant of the Corps, Hammed Abodunrin disclosed that the suspect would be charged to court at the expiration of the corps investigation.
