Family Accuses Lagos Eatery Of Keeping Their Daughter’s Corpse After She Slumped And Died At Work

A family accuses a prominent restaurant in Lagos of retaining the body of their daughter, who collapsed and died while working. Anita Chiwendu, a 20-year-old waitress at the Festac town restaurant, reportedly collapsed and died on Friday, July 7.

According to a member of her family, Anita had only worked at KFC for two months. On Friday of last week, around 11 p.m., she reportedly collapsed.

According to KFC, she screamed and collapsed while hanging her laundry. They claimed to have hurried her to the hospital, but the first hospital turned her away because she lacked a deposit. When she arrived at the second hospital, she was pronounced deceased.

KFC transported her body to a mortuary without notifying her family. They have not disclosed where they deposited her body at this time. Even the authorities have not provided the family with any information.

The family is suspicious of a cover-up. They do not believe that she fell without cause. KFC claimed she screamed and fell, but they did not notify her adjacent family. They transported her to the hospital without informing her family.

Without notifying her family, KFC transported her corpse to the mortuary following her death. They immediately reported the incident to the Festac police station without informing the family.

The police only contacted the family on Saturday afternoon, instructing Anita’s mother to come to the station regarding her daughter’s work-related issues. When she arrived, she was informed with reluctance that her daughter had perished.

Anita was not ailing; she was, in fact, in excellent health. Due to a police officer’s statement to her older sibling, the family suspects electrocution (this is their assumption). Oh, so it was you who electrocuted your sister in Festac, he exclaimed.
