Effective Immediately – Gov Bello Makes Fresh 21 Appointments Days To Leave Office (FULL LIST)

Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has swiftly make some key appointments days to the end of his tenure.

Bello appointed caretaker chairmen to oversee the affairs of the local government areas in the state, effective immediately.

According to the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mohammed Onogwu, the governor’s decision aligns “with the Re-enacted Law of the Kogi State, outlining the establishment, composition, structure, finance, and functions of the local government areas, 2023.”

“The governor’s action is aimed at efficiently filling the void left by the former local government chairmen who have recently completed their commendable tenure of office. These caretaker chairmen, carefully selected for their competence and dedication, are poised to steer the ship of their respective local government areas with unwavering commitment and resolve,” the statement read.

The newly appointed local government caretaker chairmen are scheduled to be inaugurated at the Glass House of the Government House, Lokoja, on Tuesday.

Hon. Haruna Aliyu Ogido – Ajaokuta LGA

Adamu Yahaya Mohammed – Ankpa LGA

Theophilus Adama – Bassa LGA

Hon. Emmanuel Uge – Ibaji LGA

Amade Egwuda Ochuenu – Idah LGA

Hon. Cosmas Attabor Ilemona – Igalamela-Odolu LGA
