CONFESSION: APC, PDP have failed Nigerians, Fayemi admits
Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State, has admitted that both the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have failed Nigerians.
The Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum noted that there are no proper parties in the country yet.
He disclosed this during a get-together organised by members of the National Assembly to mark his birthday in Abuja on Thursday.
“It is about what would make a difference to our people. And none of our two parties, or any of the parties we have; none of us is there yet. We are still platforms,” he was quoted by Punch Newspaper.
“What we need is an organic party structure that really speaks to the yearnings of our people, a lot more strongly than we do at the moment.”
He then urged Nigerians to ensure that they build on ties that strengthens them together as one to ensure that the country’s future is bright and better.
He said Nigeria can only get better if the bond of togetherness is strengthened and that everyone should do whatever that can do in their own capacity to ensure that the bond of togetherness is strengthened.
