Cleric Who Prophesied Tinubu Won’t Become President Reacts To Police Invitation

Adelana Solomon, also known as Oba Solomon, an Instagram cleric, has responded to a police invitation to visit the Zone 2 Headquarters in Onikan, Lagos, on Wednesday.

Solomon, who has over 213,000 Instagram followers, assured his admirers in an Instagram Live broadcast on Tuesday that he has nothing to fear. “Nothing dey happen,” he said in Pidgin English, “I am entirely at home, nothing will happen.”

Solomon, who claimed to be a pastor of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church of Zion in Oke Igbala, Lagos State, had slammed the All Progressives Congress and President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration for poor governance in his Instagram videos.

He also predicted that Bola Tinubu, the APC leader who recently proclaimed his aspiration to succeed Buhari, will not be elected President in 2023.

“If I am a man of God, Tinubu will not become President. If you become President, you will die before four years,” Solomon had said in an Instagram video.

According to reports, the Nigeria Police Force summoned the preacher from Lekki for questioning.

Solomon is expected to appear at the Zone 2 Police Command, Onikan Lagos, on Wednesday for interrogation, according to a now-viral letter dated January 27, 2022, and confirmed to newsmen by the police.

“The office is investigating a matter reported to the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 2 Police Command, Onikan Lagos.

“In order to facilitate investigation, you are requested to report to the office in-charge of Zonal Complaint Response Unit, CSP Olukode Taofiki on 2nd February, 2022 by 1000hrs,” the letter read in part.

When contacted on Tuesday morning, Taofiki confirmed the letter to newsmen. “It is true, there is a complaint against him,” he said in a telephone chat but did not disclose the nature of the complaint.
