Buhari Will Teach World Leaders How To Manage Economy During Pandemic — Adesina

As President Muhammadu Buhari speaks at the United Nations General Assembly, his spokesperson, Femi Adesina, believes the world will learn from the Buhari administration on how to overcome economic recession in the case of a pandemic.

Mr Adesina said in an interview with Channels TV on Monday night that, unlike Nigeria, some countries attending the meeting were still recovering from the pandemic-induced recession.

He said that not only had Nigeria recovered, but that the economy had grown by 5.01 percent, and that Mr Buhari will show the rest of the world how it was done.

The president’s spokesperson added that his principal “would talk about security. He would talk about the girl child, SDGs, and so many things.”

Mr Buhari left Abuja on Sunday for New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly’s 76th Session, which began on September 14.

The theme for this year’s UNGA is “Building Resilience Through Hope – To Recover from COVID-19, Rebuild Sustainably, Respond to Needs of the Planet, Respect the Rights of People and Revitalise the United Nations.”
