BREAKING: Two Missing, Travelers Stranded As Bridge Collapses In Bauchi

Two women are said to have drowned after their vehicle was inundated following the collapse of a bridge at Kadan Maiwa, on the always-bustling Bauchi-Ningi-Kano highway.

Other passengers who were in the car with them were also retrieved alive.

At the moment, rescue attempts are still underway at the location.

The bridge connects Bauchi to the state’s Ningi Local Government Area, as well as the states of Jigawa and Kano.

As a result, hundreds of vehicles and passengers are delayed since there is no access from Bauchi to Ningi LGA in Jigawa, Kano State, and vice versa.

A flood that accompanied a downpour from Thursday night to Friday morning is also claimed to have killed around 250 animals.
