BREAKING: Over 35 Feared Killed As Suspected Bandits Attack Plateau Community

Over 35 people were killed when suspected Fulani bandits raided the Yelwa Zangam community in Plateau State’s Jos North Local Government Area.

According to eyewitnesses, armed bandits raided the town, which is located behind the University of Jos, late on Tuesday, burning houses and shooting anybody in sight in Jos on Wednesday morning.

Before commencing their attack, the terrorists reportedly blocked the community’s bridge, preventing anyone from getting help.

An entire family was burnt to death in their home, according to the investigation, while others who incurred injuries are being treated at various hospitals.

The attack comes just 24 hours after Plateau State Governor, Barr. Simon Lalong, visited President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja to express his displeasure with the state’s constant attacks.

As of the time of reporting this story, the Plateau State Police Command has yet to provide specifics about the occurrence.
