The Ministerial nominee from Kaduna State, Balarabe Abbas, has slumped while standing at the podium inside the Senate.
Balarabe slumped after his introductory remarks at the red chambers.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio immediately called for a doctor to attend to him.
He also immediately directed that the Senate resolves into an executive session.
Before the incident, Lawal, who hails from Kaduna State was being screened alongside Dr Jamila Bio Ibrahim from Kwara State and Mr Ayodele Olawande from Ondo State.
Yesterday, President Bola Tinubu had sent his name alongside two others mentioned above to the Senate for confirmation.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio had read the letter the president sent and subsequently announced that the nominees will be screened on Wednesday.
