BREAKING: EFCC arrests Ex- NBA Chairman for N25m Fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested the former Chairman of the Ikeja branch of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Yinka Farounbi over his alleged involvement in a N25m fraud.

Farounbi was arrested today by the operatives of the EFCC at the NBA Ikeja Bar Centre during the association’s weekly meetings.

The arrest was sequel to a petition made to the Anti-graft agency by one Barrister Gabriel Opayinka alongside two others.

It was gathered that the anti-graft agency stormed the NBA ikeja branch after the former bar chairman refused to honor the invitations extended to him by the commission on four consecutive occasions.
