BREAKING: Atiku’s Aide Reveals What Tinubu’s Govt Plans To Do As FBI Is Set To Release Records That Will Expose Him

Phrank Shaibu, the Special Assistant on Public Communication to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has alleged that the Bola Tinubu administration intends to stifle the media in anticipation of the release of investigations conducted by the United States’ Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

In a statement on Sunday, Shaibu claimed that Tinubu’s administration, frustrated by the Chicago State University scandal, was preparing for a significant offensive.

He criticized the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), asserting that the threat to penalize Arise News Television was merely the beginning. He accused the NBC of partisanship, pointing out its silence as media platforms associated with the Nigerian president, such as Television Continental (TVC), consistently attacked Atiku. Shaibu revealed, “Back in February, the NBC tried to show a bit of fairness and fined TVC for unprofessional broadcasts, including the airing of the joint media directorate of the APC Presidential Campaign Council press briefing where Festus Keyamo said Obasanjo and Atiku ran a criminal enterprise, and an empire of fraud in Abuja.”

However, Shaibu claimed that the NBC’s impartiality waned since Tinubu assumed office, suggesting the NBC boss, Balarabe Ilelah, was now aligning with the APC and their influence at the Presidential Villa. Shaibu accused the NBC of being part of a plot to suppress media coverage of Tinubu’s certificate scandal.

He stressed the media’s crucial role, especially in light of upcoming FBI documents that allegedly link Tinubu to heroin trafficking, emphasizing the need for mainstream media outlets, not just social media, to disseminate this information. He criticized the hypocrisy of the Tinubu government and the APC-led Senate, labeling it as legendary.
