BREAKING: Arsonists Burn Down LG Secretariat, Magistrate Court In Anambra

The Idemili North Local Government secretariat and a Magistrate Court in Ogidi were both set on fire by suspected arsonists.

According to sources, the arsonists entered the secretariat on Sunday night to continue the act, destroying all files and property in the secretariat, including the secretariat building.

The entire buildings were reduced to rubbles, and vehicles parked within the Local Government secretariat were also burned to ashes, according to videos and photos circulating online.

The State Police Command has also acknowledged the incident, blaming it on unknown arsonists.

DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, the spokesperson of the State Police Command said: “Yes, the incident was confirmed, and our men were there to restore normalcy.

“Right now, the fire has been put off, and calm has been restored to the area,” Ikenga told us.
