BREAKING: Junior Pope, three other Nollywood actors die in boat accident

Nollywood actor, Junior Pope Odonwodo popularly called, Jnr Pope is dead.

The actor died this afternoon, while filming in Asaba, the Delta State capital.

The news of his death was shared on Wednesday, April 10, by filmmaker, Samuel Olatunji.

He mentioned that the actor, along with three others, tragically lost their lives when their boat capsized.

“Four actors including Jnr Pope fell into Anam River on their way to a location and their bodies have been recovered.

“What a sad day for Nollywood. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family,” Olatunji wrote on his Instagram page.

The Delta State Chairman of Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, Emma Onyemeziem also confirmed that the corpse has been deposited in the morgue.
