Buhari Celebrates Nollywood Legend Richard Mofe-Damijo
President Muhammadu Buhari has wished Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), a well-known Nollywood actor, writer, and film producer, a happy 60th birthday.
On the occasion, the Nigerian leader celebrated with the star’s family, friends, and colleagues.
He praised RMD, a lawyer, for his accomplishments in the entertainment business, praising him for national and international honors that have boosted the local film industry.
His contributions to community and development communications, culture, tourism, and journalism were highlighted in a statement by presidential spokesman Femi Adesina.
The entertainment industry, according to Buhari, has earned a reputable place in the world because of dedicated professionals whose creativity and resilience attract and sustain viewers on Nigeria’s beauty and cultural diversity.
The President congratulated Nollywood and prayed for RMD and his family to continue to be blessed and strengthened by God.
In Delta State, the celebrant served as Commissioner of Culture and Tourism and Special Adviser on Culture and Tourism at separate periods.
