In Randa, Dansadau area of Maru Local Government Area in Zamfara State, gunmen suspected of being bandits massacred 13 people, including a woman and her baby.
Hundreds of additional people, including women and children, were injured in the incident, according to SaharaReporters.
The majority of the victims were discovered to have been burned to death in their homes while fleeing the gunman on Tuesday.
During the incident, numerous cows were also rumored to have been rustled.
A source told SaharaReporters that the gunmen kidnapped approximately 40 men and women.
“Yesterday, in Randa, over 13 persons, including a woman and her newborn baby, were killed. Over 40 men and women were also abducted,” he said.
A few weeks ago, gunmen raided the College of Agriculture and Animal Sciences in the Bakura Local Government Area of the state, abducting 19 students and employees.
