Arrest Killers Of Traditional Rulers — Imo Assembly To Uzodinma

Governor Hope Uzodinma has been urged by the Imo State House of Assembly to apprehend the murders of two traditional rulers in the state.

Following a proposal by Njaba constituency representative Uju Onwudiwe, the legislature made the decision on Thursday.

The congressman demanded financial and medical assistance for those who had been injured.

Onwudiwe asked that the attack be thoroughly investigated, and instructed the governor to “immortalize” the monarchs.

She assigned the job of convening a security meeting with stakeholders to the 27 local government chairmen.

The House, according to Deputy Speaker Amarachi Iwuanyanwu, is committed to ensuring that justice is served.

Orsu delegate Ekene Nnodumele urged the government to take additional measures to combat criminality in Imo.

The proposal by Onwudiwe was approved by the Speaker, Paul Emeziem.

Gunmen fatally shot Eze Anayo Duruebere of Okwudor Autonomous Community and Eze Sampson Osunwa of Ihebinowerre Autonomous Community on October 19 in Nnenasa, Njaba.
