2023: Gov Zulum Supports Southern Govs On Rotational Presidency

Babagana Zulum, the governor of Borno State, has indicated support for the Southern Governors’ determination that President Muhammadu Buhari’s successor must come from the South.

Remember that the 17 governors who make up the Southern Governors’ Forum gathered behind closed doors in Lagos on Monday to discuss issues plaguing the region.

The forum is devoted to politics of fairness and equity, according to a communiqué read by Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu shortly after the meeting.

Governor Zulum, who spoke about the resolution on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Wednesday, claimed his stance was not motivated by political ambition.

Zulum stated that he had no plans to run for Vice President of the United States.

He said, “I have said it times without number that I, Professor Babagana Zulum, I am of the view that the presidency should go to the south in the year 2023 because the unity of our country is very important.

“And I have said it before, I am not interested in becoming the vice president of the country, nor the president of the nation but I want to say the right thing”.
