Usifo Ataga: Suspected Killer, Chidinma Pleads Not Guilty

Chidinma Ojukwu, a University of Lagos 300-level Mass Communication student, has pleaded not guilty to the murder of Super Tv CEO Usifo Ataga.

In July, Hakeem Odumosu, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, claimed that the dead Ataga was drugged before he was killed.

On Tuesday, the 22-year-old appeared in court at the Tafawa Balewa Square before Justice Yetunde Adesanya of the Lagos State High Court.

She and another main suspect in the murder case, Adedapo Quadri, have pleaded not guilty to eight counts involving murder, forgery, and stealing.

Egbuchu Chioma, Chidinma’s sister, was also charged with possessing the late Ataga’s iPhone 7.

Chioma, on the other hand, pled not guilty to the 9th count of having stolen property in her possession.

Mrs Olayinka Adeyemi, the Director of the Department of Public Prosecution, is prosecuting the suspects.
