Ukraine Officials Arrive Belarus For Russia Peace Talks, Seek Withdrawal Of Troops

The Ukrainian delegation has arrived at the Ukraine-Belarus border to begin peace negotiations with the Russian delegation, according to Ukrainian authorities.

According to BBC News, the key topic on their agenda is a ceasefire and troop withdrawal from Ukrainian territory.

The negotiations had been repeatedly postponed owing to logistical and safety concerns, according to previous reports.

In his Sunday address, Ukrainian President Zelensky stated that he does not expect these talks to result in a breakthrough.

But, he continued, they should endeavor to make the most of this opportunity, no matter how modest, so that no one can blame Ukraine for failing to intervene in the conflict.
