APC Urges Nigerians To Pray More For Buhari, Other Leaders

The All Progressives Congress, Nigeria’s ruling party, has urged Nigerians to devote more time to prayer during Easter to seek divine help and guidance for President Muhammadu Buhari and other country leaders.

Mr Buhari is currently on holiday in the United Kingdom. During a national strike by Nigeria’s resident physicians, he jetted out of the country for a routine medical holiday, according to the presidency.

In a statement issued on Friday in Abuja, Mai Mala Buni, the Chairman of the APC Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, urged Nigerians to use the Easter season to pray for the country’s success and prosperity.

“As people of faith, we should devote more prayers during Easter to seek divine intervention and guide our leaders in the right direction,” he said.

Mr Buni also called for love, unity, stability, harmony, and tolerance among Nigerians, according to a statement released by Mamman Mohammed, Mr Buni’s media aide.

He urged religious leaders to use Easter as an opportunity to preach to Nigerians about reconciliation, harmony, and unity.

“We must see ourselves as a people with shared dreams and ambitions for a greater Nigeria characterized by love, peace, unity, and prosperity.

“Nigeria is the only nation we have. As a result, we must work to unite and improve our beloved country,” Mr Buni concluded.

He also urged Nigerians to view any problem in any part of the country as a popular and shared issue that should be discussed as a community.

He wished both Christians and Nigerians a joyous Easter season filled with love and peace.
