Tinubu attacks APC senator for criticizing Buhari over insecurity

 

For the rise in the increase rate of insecurity cases in the country, the senate dedicated Tuesday’s plenary to discuss the incessant rising cases that undermine our safety as a citizen in different parts of the country.

On the floor of the senate, over 15 senators contributed to the motion on the activities of terrorist group with Boko Haram taking the lead and were reported to have taken over about three local government area in Niger State.

The Senator representing Kogi West, Smart Adeyemi was one of the contributing senator. While addressing the house, he spoke emotional for about five minutes describing the current state of insecurity in the country as the worst so far and by the end urges the president to seek toreign support.

However, his colleague, Oluremi Tinubu, who is a senator from Lagos State and belong to the same political party, All Progressjve Congress (APC) as berated him on his comment.

Tinubu who was sitting next to Mr Adeyemi during the plenary session was heard mocking the latter.

“This is the worst instability we are facing. In fact, this is worse than the civil war,” Mr Adeyemi said.

“Are you in PDP? Are you a wolf in sheep ’sccoohing?,” Mrs Tinubu said rebuking the lawmaker.

Ignoring his colleague, Mr Adeyemi said there are a lot of misgivings, a lot of misinterpretation of what is happening.

“Some people believe that some people in government are supporting this move. We cannot pretend that we are capable of handling the situation in our hands. America, as powerful as they are, when the pandemic came, it came to a point China came to their rescue.
