Grab 2Baba, Others For Me – New Police Boss Unleashes His Men On Cultists Who Beheaded DPO
Tunji Disu, the newly appointed Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, has issued a stern directive to police operatives in the troubled Ahoada area of the state.
He ordered them to track down and apprehend notorious cultist David Gift Okpala Okpolowu, alias 2Baba, and his gang. This comes in the wake of the killing of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ahoada Police Division, SP Bako Angbashim, by the said gang.
During his visit to the Ahoada East Local Government Area, where the DPO was killed and decapitated, Commissioner Disu emphasized his intolerance for the killing of police officers in the state. He urged the officers to achieve success in this critical task.
Accompanied by senior police officers from the command, Disu addressed the officers of Ahoada Area Command and Division, charging them to ensure the arrest of the culprits. He emphasized that those who kill police officers will not escape justice.
In his address to the officers, the Commissioner expressed his awareness of the challenges they face in entering difficult areas. He assured them of the command’s support and underscored the significance of their role. He emphasized the importance of their safety during operations in the area.
Disu stated, “I am here for us to see how we can trap these people who killed our policemen. I know what you guys are doing. I know how difficult it is for you to enter all those difficult areas. I want you to know that we are going to support you. I want you to know how important we take your job. I decided that the first assignment I am going to do is to come around to let you know how important you are to me. I thank you for all you are doing.”
”Keep safe. I don’t want any of you shot or injured in this situation. Keep same and give me success. No one will kill a policeman and go away scot-free. Get me the culprits.”
