Suspected Gunmen Invade Ministry Of Finance In Nasarawa, Cart Away N100m

Gunmen suspected of being armed robbers stormed the Nasarawa State Ministry of Finance, Budget, and Planning in Lafia, stealing N100 million.

The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon, according to NEWS DIRECT, when gunmen stormed the ministry, shooting sporadically.

It was also discovered that the assailants followed several ministry employees to a commercial bank to withdraw money for the ministry.

The N100 million was allegedly seized at gunpoint inside the ministry’s premises, which is close to the State’s Accountant General’s Office, where some security personnel were stationed.

When DAILY POST contacted the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Ramhan Nansel, about the development, he claimed the case had not yet been submitted to the command.

He told our correspondent that he couldn’t corroborate the occurrence because “it wasn’t reported to the cops.”
