Sunday Igboho’s Charms Didn’t Fail, He Escaped To Prepare For Fight – Ifa Priest

Ifayemi Elebuibon, an Ifa priest, has reacted to the Department of State Services’ (DSS) attack on the home of Yoruba freedom warrior Sunday Adeyemo, commonly known as Igboho.

Elebuibon claimed that Igboho left during the raid to prepare for a future battle, and that his spells were effective.

The Ifa Priest, speaking to BBC Yoruba, stated that Igboho did not desert his colleagues during the onslaught.

According to Elebuibon, “It is not that Igboho’s charms failed him, the whole raid was an attack, an invasion, a tragedy.

“He was not prepared for the attack, it happened all of sudden but he who fights and runs lives to fight another day. A warrior who fights and doesn’t know how to retreat will perish with the battle. He (Igboho) ran to fight another day, he didn’t abandon his followers because if he hadn’t escaped, it would have been a different thing entirely.”

In the early hours of Thursday, the DSS raided Igboho’s home in Ibadan.

During the operation, some persons were murdered and others were apprehended.

Some of Igboho’s colleagues arrested with guns and charms were later paraded by the secret police.
