Shehu Shagari’s Wife, Hadiza Dies Of COVID-19

Mrs. Hadiza Shagari, former Nigerian President Shehu Shagari’s wife, has passed away.

Mrs. Shagari died on Thursday as a result of COVID-19 complications.

Her Grandson, Bello Shagari, said on his Facebook page that the deceased died at 3 a.m. at the Gwagwalada Isolation Center in Abuja.

At the National Mosque in Abuja, she would be buried according to Islamic customs.

“Hajiya Hadiza Shehu Shagari was 80 years old. Her Jana’iza (Funeral Prayer) will take place today, at 4:00pm, immediately after Asr prayer, at the National Mosque, Abuja.”
