Senator Ahmad Lawan elected Senate President
Senator Ahmad Lawan has been elected president of the Senate.
Mr Lawam who represents Yobe north senatorial district defeated Senator Ali Ndume who polled 28 votes.
Lawan polled 79 votes to emerge victorious.
