Sanwo-Olu Arrests Suspected Hoodlums In Lagos Traffic [Photos]
On Monday, motorists around Ojota heading Alausa were saved by the convoy of Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Sanwo-Olu apprehended a band of hoodlums known for harassing road users at all hours of the day and night.
Three machete-wielding thugs were neutralized by police officers and Department of State Services (DSS) personnel attached to the governor.
The assailants were apprehended while attempting to remove a man from his vehicle.
Traffic robbers and other criminal elements, Sanwo-Olu said, will have no place to hide in Lagos.
On Monday, the Lagos State Task Force raided the Second Rainbow and Toyota Bus Stops on the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway, targeting motorbike (okada) riders.
More than a hundred motorcycles were seized. In a similar operation last week, 200 people were apprehended.
The protests came when the government and police imposed a ban on commercial motorcycles on roads and in a number of other locations.
