Photos Of Gov Akeredolu’s Signature Forged By His Aides, Family Members Emerge

Ailing Ondo State governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, is reportedly facing a situation where some family members and aides have been forging his signatures on official memos.

This development was supported by a government document seen on Monday which showed some forged signatures of the Governor.

A document from the Ondo State House of Assembly, signed by Oleyelogun Bamidele David and Jaiyeola B.T, Clerk of the state House of Assembly, raised concerns. The document, dated 25th Of May, contained a column for the Governor’s assent and Governor’s seal, where Akeredolu’s signature appeared.

The news comes on the heels of revelations by Kayode Ajulo, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), who disclosed that some commissioners in the Ondo State government were signing official documents on behalf of the ailing Governor. Ajulo shared these concerns on Arise Television’s programme, stating, “The purported signature is not from the governor. It is so apparent.”

Ajulo also highlighted the constitutional limitations preventing the Deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, from taking over in Akeredolu’s absence, potentially paving the way for the influence of cabals in the state governance.

“I have it on good authority as a lawyer. Some of the commissioners, about five of them, sent memos to the governor, and they all returned with approval. Going through the approval compared to what the governor had approved when he was hale and hearty, there are notable disparities in them,” Ajulo added.

He further suggested the involvement of private investigators and proposed that the EFCC investigate the matter to uncover the truth. Controversy and suspicion have trailed the moves by some people close to the Governor who have decided to take undue advantage of his absence due to his health condition.
